About the Journal Fisioterapia em Movimento is a trimonthly journal run by Prof. Dr. Auristela Duarte de Lima Moser, editor-in-chief, and it publishes issues including essays addressing the fields of Physical Therapy and Human Health, such as: Analysis of Functional Movement, Kinesiology and Biomechanics, Kinesiotherapy, Physical Therapy Teaching, Ergonomics, Cardiorespiratory Physical Therapy, Dermatofunctional Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy in Geriatrics and Gerontology, Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy, Neurofunctional Physical Therapy, Preventive Physical Therapy, Urogynecological Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Basics and Natural Physical Therapeutic Resources, and Collective Health. The studies are presented as Original Articles (based on yet unpublished research, including information about materials and methods used, as well as discussion and results presented in a systematical way), Reviews (related to studies clearly defined and based on bibliographical research relevant for a critical analysis, including considerations that might contribute to the state of the art) and Letters to the Editor. With a circulation of 1.000 copies, Fisioterapia em Movimento is available online. Created in 1989, it has been devoted to publishing technical and scientific papers addressing issues dealing with Physical Therapy. For 21 years it has divulged and promoted scientific knowledge in this field, meeting the needs of alumni and faculty, renowned and beginner researchers. Mission The journal’s mission is to constitute a stimulus and a means to disseminating results stemming from scientific research supported by rigorous methodology and emphasizing human health care, by publishing research articles in the field of physical therapy and related areas and endorsing interdisciplinarity.
