Call for Papers: REBRAE Special Issue on Regional Development

The REBRAE (Brazilian Review of Strategy) calls for papers to be published
in a special international issue on Regional Development. This publication
is a joint publishing project involving the Business School of the
Pontifical Catholic University of Parana (PUCPR), Brazil and the Federal
Technological University of Parana (UTFPR). This publication is in English
only. Papers may be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish and English as well,
but the authors of accepted articles will be responsible for providing a
final version in English for publication. The deadline for submission is
April 30th, 2017 for publication in REBRAE, V.10, N.2, 2017. Papers should
be submitted through the following email: .
REBRAE (ISSN 1983-8484) is a quarterly peer-reviewed open access journal
with focus on strategic management. Its readership encompasses researchers,
professors, graduate students and professionals interested in this field.
Articles with emphasis in empirical or theoretical research, as well as
diverse methodologies and approaches that bring effective contributions to
the Regional Development may be accepted.
The topics for the special issue may include, but are not limited to:

• Innovation in regional development
• Entrepreneurship and innovation in local and regional development
• Financial issues in regional development
• Governance issues
• Entrepreneurship and innovation in economic development
• Social, financial and environmental sustainability

Editorial Norms
a) All manuscripts must be unpublished and should not be submitted
simultaneously to any other journal.
b) The papers must be submitted only in English. Texts may be submitted in
Portuguese or Spanish but once approved the authors have to provide
to English.
c) The content, thoughts, opinions and concepts presented in the article are
under authors´ responsibility.
d) All the articles will be first reviewed by Editor and once it meets
guidelines it will be send to two ad-hoc consultants (peer review) for blind
review evaluation.
e) Color photos will not be published, except in cases of absolute necessity
subordinated to Editorial Commission evaluation.
f) To the Editor will be reserved the right to make changes in the original
manuscript, aiming to keep homogeneity and publication quality but
the style and author opinion’s.

Technical norms

LAYOUT: Manuscript must be typed in Word for Windows, using Times New Roman
with 1,5 line spaced, justified paragraph and A4 format. It is recommended a
maximum of 20 pages including references, illustrations, pictures, graphics,
tables and charts.
FRONT PAGE: The front page must include the title in original language (BOLD
CAPS, Times New Roman 14, italic, centralized). The title must contain 12
maximum, being sufficiently specific and descriptive. Two spaces below the
must be the name, filiation and email of all the authors (Times New Roman 11

centralized). Abstract with maximum of 300 words and the key-words also need
be in the front page.
3. ABSTRACT: Must be written in a single paragraph using Times New Roman 11,
single line spaced, justified paragraph and have a maximum of 300 words.
Objective, methodology and results must be included in abstract.
4. KEY-WORDS: Must be presented just after the Abstract and the author may
between 3 to 5 descriptors.
5. INTRODUCTION: A concise text presenting research boundary and context,
problem statement, purpose of the study and papers’ structure.
6. THEORETICAL BACKGROUND: It is the part of the text that contain, at
least, a
chronological review of the main authors that already made some
contributions to
the solution of the problem (the state of the art) and the framework
followed by the author in the article.
7. METHODOLOGY: The article must contain a session dedicated to the

obtained by other authors on the same problem.
9. CONCLUSIONS: Synthetic text stating the main contributions to the

should be
referenced. References should be organized and presented in alphabetical
according to the first author´s surname. Editorial policy mandates the use
the APA or ABNT NBR 6023 Style.

will not provide any review.

Review the References and make sure that all authors cited in the text are
listed properly.
